The Robert

The Robert is named after my dad who was an avid outdoorsman who taught me about hunting, fishing, and enjoying nature.  The Robert is a full tang heavy bladed hunting knife.  It is also at home as a camping knife.

The Ives

The Ives is named after my paternal grandad.  He was a well driller and farmer who could build, make, or repair anything.  The Ives is a clip point full tang medium bladed utility knife.  It can be used in the shop but can also be handy in the field for hunting and fishing.

The Lucene

The Lucene is named after my maternal grandad.  He was a cowboy and businessman who loved to cook and was a friend to everyone.  The Lucene is a Serbian style chef’s knife with a heavy blade.  It is a combination chef’s knife and cleaver. It is at home in the kitchen or at the campsite.

The Jacob is named after the first Stinebaugh to come to this country in the 1700's.  It is a shop knife with a short stout blade that makes it perfect for carrying all the time.

The Ryan

The Ryan is named after my oldest son who also happens to be the designer of this blade.  He is an avid hunter and fisherman.  The Ryan is a full tang drop point knife with a heavy blade.  It is primarily a hunting knife that is particularly good for skinning.  It’s heavy blade will also make it a good all around camp or shop knife

The Aliene

The Aliene is a modified ulu style blade that is at home in the field or the kitchen.  With it being open on one end it makes it easier to handle and grip.  It is named after my great aunt Aliene.  She was a hunter and was with my dad when he killed his first deer.  After her husband died she ran her ranch by herself for decades.  She also ran garage in town and could work on cars as good as any man.  My dad also bragged that she could make the best german chocolate cake in NE New Mexico. oo

The Colby

The Colby is named after my middle son.  He is a teacher and artist.  The flowing lines and shape of this knife remind me of something artistic.  It is primarily a skinning knife, but is an everyday use kind of knife.  It also fits great in the hand

The pattern knives are made from 1075, 1084, or 80CrV2 high carbon steel.  The sizes given are somewhat approximate.  Since the knives are hand cut and shaped there will be some variation in these dimensions. They can be made with wood or synthetic handles of various types.
